John & Will 2019

Paul Starns is a figurative artist living in Surrey, England.  Having not been allowed to study art at school he has been making up for lost time and has recently completed a Foundation Degree in Contemporary Portraiture at the Art Academy London. He has undertaken many pet portrait commissions but is now focusing his attention on painting people where he looks to achieve more than a simple likeness by responding to each sitter’s unique story. He is currently particularly interested in depicting men’s mental health issues.

Please contact Paul directly to discuss commissions.
